On December 24th, 1980, Barnaby Brooks Jr. stands defeated facing two men.

Two months earlier, October 8th, 1980, robbers attacked an armored car, stealing 20 million and ending up in a car chase with the police. Hero TV follows the crime and notes that Fire Emblem is the first to arrive. Their fire attack is ineffective, but then Sky High joins them and in combined attack, they manage to flip the armored truck. Rock Bison stops the other truck, causing the criminals to leave in all directions. Origami Cyclone captures one more of the criminals, but the rest steal cars and continue running. Magical Cat splashes the criminals with water, and while that looks ineffective, Dragon Kid shows up and hits the cars with lightning, shocking them. However, one of the cars still manages to escape. Mr. Black appears in front of the car and manages to stop it, but the criminals continue running on foot. He Is Thomas manages to immobilize one of them. Blue Rose and Barnaby Brooks Jr. manages to surround the two remaining criminals. Golden Ryan arrives and helps immobilizing the criminals, while Wild Tiger fails to arrive on time as he was helping a kid retrieve his balloon.

The superheroes attend a Hero TV party to celebrate the success of the buddy system. Barnaby and Tiger end up in an argument as Tiger drank Barnaby's energy drink, and Barnaby decides to stop speaking to Tiger. At the party, various sponsors talk about how the superhero system have been implemented in various regions around the world and how much more they expect to see from the superheroes. Yuri Petrov comes out and shares that there have been several scandals with companies that sponsor the superheroes and they plan to overhaul their strategy for managing the system. Yuri states he originally was against the buddy system, as active alone sometimes is an advantage and having a partner can slow you down sometimes. While he still believes that, he wishes to be proven wrong by the superheroes. At the talking, Golden Ryan and the rest are open to any questions the new superheroes have, but Mr. Black and He is Tomans state they don't have anything to learn from them, but Magical Cat gets excited and wishes to learn many things. Returning home, Tiger receives a call from Kaede and acts he is doing yoga as she suggested. Meanwhile, Barnaby also comes home and water his plants, while talking to them about his day.

Next day, Tiger and Barnaby are visiting one of the big sponsors while he plays golf. Suddenly, all of the superheroes get notified by Agnes about an incident where a gasoline truck caught fire, and are being send to help out the people. Yuri gives Agnes information about the last night robbery and she informs the superheroes that the robber from last night was just seen in downtown. She decides to send everyone at the truck scene, while Tiger and Barnaby head for the robber first, since they are already in downtown. Mr. Black suggests to Thomas that they also head towards the robber as they won't stand out in the truck rescue operation.

The robber is fighting off the police. Tiger and Barnaby are already there, but are still observing. Mr. Black and Thomas arrive and ignore Tiger and Barnaby and head right into action. The robber stops Thomas attack, but Agnes stops them before they fully engage the robber, explaining that he is Andrzej Hedman, a famous robber with dangerous ability allowing him to stop anything he touches. Mr. Black is still sure he can handle him with his barrier, but Agnes explains that if he touches a human, he can stop his heart and kill him. Tiger and Barnaby then jump in. Tiger activates his power and removes his helm, stating that he bet he can't stop his "fastball" when thrown by his Hundred Power. As he throws his helmet, Andrzej prepares to stop it, but the throw is off target. Barnaby then jumps in and kicks the helm, hitting Andrzej from the side and knocking him out. Mr. Black is surprised this was their plan all along as they didn't communicate it, but Barnaby states they know each other well and didn't need to communicate it. Tiger wonders if his acting was over the top, but then realizes he talked to Barnaby, who decides to stop sulking and starts talking to Tiger again.

Elsewhere, two men in white, act in cool positions, but unable to keep straight face, they burst into laughs, while standing a top of defeated superheroes.
