History[]
As kids, Mugan and Fugan had to steal to survive. They attempt to purchase food from a fast food restaurant, but upon realizing they are thieves and have NEXT powers, the man takes out a gun. Nicolai Brahe saves them and offers them a place to live. They join the other Nemo Children, but didn't like it there. They ask Nicolai if they can come and live with him, and he agrees.
Six months ago, Nicolai received an order from Ouroboros to use them and take out some heroes. Having no choice, Nicolai suggest they could take out heroes and prove they are stronger than L.L. Audun. Figuring out that Ouroboros ordered Nicolai, the two agree to do it for Nicolai.
Storyline[]
Mugan and Fugan start taking out heroes from various cities, aiming to defeat 36 heroes total. After reaching 24, Nicolai states they can move to Stern Bild, where there are exactly 12 heroes. They visit the Hero Museum's L.L. Audun section, the strongest NEXT, who was no allowed to be a superhero due to his father being a criminal. There they meet He Is Thomas, but as he shares he likes Audun, they leave, stating they didn't knew what they were gonna do if he said something else.
Mugan and Fugan decide to start with Wild Tiger and Barnaby Brooks Jr., however, Barnaby ends up injured during an explosion. They visit him in the hospital, but state it isn't fun to kill someone in his condition, and later find and beat up Vincent, who was responsible for Barnaby's injuries. Mugan and Fugan leave toys based on the Stern Bild heroes in Barnaby's hospital room with Fire Emblem and Sky High dolls being on the ground. The two then find Fire Emblem and Sky High and beat up Fire Emblem with a single hit and force Sky High to not fight back to protect Fire Emblem and end up defeating him as well, and then petrifying them.
Mugan and Fugan then visit Barnaby again and Fugan mistakenly puts Rock Bison, but quickly corrects it to Dragon Kid and Origami Cyclone, who are visiting the Fire Emblem and Sky High in the hospital. As they get in their room, Kid and Origami agree to follow them to avoid getting innocent people involved in their fight. Mugan and Fugan then take the heroes to an underground train station. There Mugan blames Fugan for the mistake and as punishment, he tells him he will sit out this fight and Fugan agrees. Mugan starts fighting Kid, but she isn't able to hit him. Kid eventually manages to cause a shortcut and turns the power off, but Mugan finds it pointless as the subways have backup power and the lights go on again. However, during the blackout, Origami had copied Kid and the real Kid manages to get behind Mugan and electroshocks him and they capture him. Kid and Origami call the rest of the heroes, and explain they need to keep an eye on Mugan as he can turn invisible, however, Thomas had figured that Mugan's power should be warping. Mugan confirms, saying he wanted to keep his power a bit mysterious and warps behind Kid and Origami and then warps away taking them, where they later defeat and petrify Kid and Origami.
Days later, Mugan and Fugan take a jamming device from Nicolai and head into the heroes headquarters. Since Blue Rose and Golden Ryan are not there, Mugan warps to find them and brings them there, explaining that they are having a hide-and-seek game with the heroes and decided that six versus two would be more fun. As the heroes are unable to land an attack, Mugan and Fugan then explain that Fugan can warp, while Mugan power is to take any damage he gets and turn it into an attack. They notice that Magical Cat is missing and go looking for her. The heroes form a plan and Blue Rose goes to distract Fugan, while Bison takes Mr. Black, Cat and Thomas and help them escape. Combining their powers, Blue Rose and Ryan manage to trap Fugan and knock him out with some debris. Mugan returns and manages to warp away with Fugan back to Nicolai. Sigourney tells them they can become stronger with her drug and Mugan and Fugan agree to take it. Nicolai disagrees but Sigourney rushes and injects Fugan. After both take the drug, they return to the heroes and easily defeat Ryan, Blue Rose and Bison.
Mugan and Fugan then record a video and set it to the news, stating that they defeated 7 of the Stern Bild heroes, as the news weren't reporting them until now. In the video, Mugan and Fugan explain that they want to surpass L.L. Audun, who defeated 17 heroes, however, Mugan and Fugan decided to not only defeat 18, but to double that to 36.
On December 24th, the heroes provoke Mugan and Fugan and ask them to come to the coliseum. Mugan and Fugan come, but don't wish to fight there as that's the place Jake fought and wish to change locations. They ask the heroes to hold hands so that Mugan can wrap them. The heroes want to fight there, but as Mugan and Fugan explain they don't need to fight today and can just leave, they are forced to agree. Barnaby then reveals himself, asking to be taken as well, which surprised Mugan and Fugan as they didn't knew he was discharged and figure out that the heroes plan was to use him as a surprise. Mugan then takes everyone to the place where L.L. Audun was defeated. Black and Tiger end in an argument and Black states he will take on Mugan and Fugan himself. The two then warp behind Black, but having planned this, Barnaby tackles Fugan, while Thomas puts a bucket on Mugan's head. Cat attempts to knock Mugan out with her water, however, being afraid, she barely brings out her power and only sprays Mugan. As he frees himself, he gets back Fugan and they break Thomas hand.
Mugan and Fugan then have an easy time against the heroes. As even the lightest punch powers up Fugan, the heroes are hesitant to attack. Mugan then takes out a gun and shoots at Fugan, which powers him up. They attack Tiger, but he manages to avoid Fugan's attacks and end up using his Hyper Good Luck Mode, however, Fugan absorbs it as well and Mugan wraps them behind Tiger, where Fugan hits him with all of his power and knocks out Tiger out of the fight. Barnaby gets angry and starts attacking Fugan and eventually hitting him with his Hyper Good Luck Mode. However, Fugan again absorbs everything and hits Barnaby, breaking his helm and taking him out of the fight. However, Fugan then explains that due to the drug he took more power than his body can handle and he ended up breaking his arm when he hit Tiger and his other arm when he hit Barnaby. Mugan suggests they run, but Fugan states that they might get angry at Nicolai. They decide to use less power to defeat the remaining heroes, but provoked by Black, Fugan decides to use his full power. Mugan then powers up Fugan with his gun, who then attempts to kick Thomas, but Black sacrifices himself and takes on the kick. With a broken leg, Fugan asks Mugan to power him up again. They attempt to attack Thomas again, but Cat, who regained her confidence, blasts them away with her water attack. Annoyed, Fugan wants to take her out, but sees that Mugan hit a fence and got stabbed in the back. On one leg, Fugan jumps to Cat and knocks her out. He then uses the gun to power himself, however, Tiger grabs his hands. Fugan believes that Thomas is controlling Tiger, however, Thomas ends up controlling Barnaby, who comes flying and kicking Fugan and Tiger forces Fugan to hit himself with his attack and defeat himself. They explain that they noticed that Fugan never powers up by hitting himself with his power, so they figured his own power will work against him. Tiger and Barnaby tell Fugan and Mugan that they are the strongest opponents they ever had. Mugan warps to Fugan and the two say their goodbyes as they feel their end is coming.
Mugan then warps them to Nicolai, where the two say their goodbyes with him and thank him for everything. Gregory Sunshine then shoots them in the head and then shoots Nicolai. As he is dying, Nicolai deactivates his NEXT power, undoing the petrification and pets Mugan and Fugan's bodies. Mugan, Fugan and Nicolai's bodies are later found by the police, after Mattia reports their location.
After this, it is unknown on what happened to their bodies.
