Lara Tchaikoskaya (ラーラ・チャイコスカヤ), aka Magical Cat (マジカルキャット), is a new hero who debuted on HeroTV in the N.C. 1980 season.
Personality[]
Lara is a polite and innocent girl who is an honest and cheerful honor student. She always tries to do her best and offer help to others.
Despite her determination, Lara is still very emotionally fragile. As a result she can get overwhelmed by the dangers of being a hero and pressure from her mother.

Storyline[]
Series Two[]
After capturing some criminals with Dragon Kid, Cat returns home, where her mother, Zamira, waits for her to continue her training. Watching footage of Cat's hero activities, Zamira states that Kid is taking the spotlight and that a partner can betray you. She tells her how her partner betrayed her, so Cat should look at Kid as a rival.
The next day, Cat trains with Mr. Black, who asks her if her strength decreases if she isn't focused, but Cat denies it. They receive a call from Agnes Joubert to help people caught in a fire and capture some robbers. Arriving there, Cat starts putting out the fire. Kid tells her to stay there, while she goes after the robbers. Cat decides to not listen to her and goes after the robbers herself. She eventually corner one at a rooftop, but he pulls a gun on her. Wild Tiger and Barnaby Brooks Jr. arrive, which surprised the robber, who ends up shooting at Cat to make her move, but she gets scared and ends up falling from the building.
Cat is fine, but needs to spend a few days at the hospital. Zamira comes and blames Kid for the accident as she is taking Cat's chances to demonstrate her talent. Zamira wants Kid to act as a support for Cat, but Kid refuses and states she will be waiting for Cat to continue their training. After Cat is discharged from the hospital, she continues with her training with Kid, but recalls her mother telling her to do so and once a crime happens to ignore Kid and act on her own.
The criminal, Bruno Blaze, starts another fire and Kid and Cat head out to help. As he starts additional fires, Kid wishes they to stay and put the firsts out, but Cat decides to go after him. She ends up finding him in an alley, but as he takes out flame throwers, she gets scared and is unable to create water and runs to hide. Kid comes and helps out Cat. Seeing her trembling, Kid apologizes, saying that she thought she was helping her. She figured out that Cat can't use her power right now and explains she notices it Cat is more strong during training and weaker in actual situations as her power is affected by she being scared or nervous. Kid wanted Cat to follow her and get used to everything little by little. Bruno finds them and shoots flames at them, but the girls manage to dodge. Tiger and Barnaby then appear and Bruno hides. Barnaby notices that Kid has injured her leg and is barely able to move. Tiger asks Cat if she can protect them when Bruno uses his fires, but seeing her expression, he realizes she can't. Tiger then states he will protect the girls, while Barnaby goes and defeats Bruno. Their suits will be able to protect them from the fire for a bit and Tiger trusts Barnaby that he will be able to find Bruno and beat him. Hearing that, Kid asks Tiger and Barnaby to act as a shield, while Cat will put out the flames as she believes in her. Bruno then appears and attacks them. Tiger and Barnaby act as a shield, but Cat is still scared and can't use her power. Kid then calms her down, causing Cat to regain her control over her power and defeats Bruno.
When Bruno gets taken in, Kid wonders if its okay if she starts depending more on Cat and Cat confirms, asking the same thing. Returning home, Cat tells her mother that Kid isn't the type she thought it was, but her mother tells her to not trust her, just because she was nice one time to her.
When Barnaby gets hurt, Cat is worried as even strong heroes can get hurt. Kid gives her a good luck charm passed down in the Huang Family, which will give her courage.
After Kid and Origami get petrified, Bison buys some food for everyone. As he gives Cat some food, he notices she feels down and Cat explains that its her fault that Origami is in this situation and explains that Kid asked her to come to the hospital, but Cat was afraid and Origami volunteered to go with Kid. Bison explains that she shouldn't blame herself as he himself was at the hospital and they still got his partner Origami, and she needs to focus on what she can do for her partner now.
Soon, Mugan and Fugan attack the training facility, where they gather Blue Rose, Golden Ryan, Rock Bison, Mr. Black, He is Thomas and Cat. The heroes are unable to do anything against them. Cat feel scared and hides, but upon noticing it, Mugan and Fugan decide to look for her. Rose ends up distracting them, while Bison takes Black, Cat and Thomas and leads them to a window, telling them that they need to escape. Initially the young heroes refuse, but he tells them that there is no shame in escaping and that at this rate, all of them will be defeated. As he breaks the window, Mugan hears it and goes to check on them. Bison the throws the young heroes out of the window and attacks Mugan. The young heroes survive the fall, but Bison, Rose and Ryan end up being petrified.
The remaining heroes form a plan to fight Mugan and Fugan, which ends with Cat using her water to knock out Mugan. They challenge them at the coliseum, but Mugan and Fugan decide to change the location. There, the heroes manage to do the first step in their plan and separate Mugan and Fugan. Thomas puts a bucket on Mugan's head and asks Cat to spray him, but she is only able to produce small amount of low pressure water, that has no effect on Mugan, who eventually gets free, brings back Fugan and they break Thomas arm and start beating the heroes, commenting they were lucky that Cat is weak. They proceed to beat up the heroes, but Fugan overdoes it and breaks his arms and leg. Cat sees the charm that Kid gave her and opens it up to see a message from Kid saying that she can do it. Regaining her confidence, Cat attacks Mugan and Fugan as they were about to attack Thomas. Cat's attack ends up pining Mugan to a fence and pierce him from behind, which ends up taking him out of the fight. Fugan tells him he will join him soon, and heads towards Cat. Her attack has no effect on him and he approaches and hits her, knocking her out. Later after Mugan and Fugan get defeated and the petrified heroes return to normal, Cat tells Kid that she looked inside the charm and that helped her.
When X start appearing, Cat and Kid are send out along the rest of the heroes to stop them. Eventually Tiger and Barnaby reveal that a NEXT is turning people in X. Hearing that Fire Emblem recalls that Ryan had similar incident. Ryan shares that guy that caused his powers to go on a rampage was also one with crazy pompadour and his name is Gregory Sunshine. He adds that by hugging you, he causes the NEXT power to go crazy, however the effects wear off after few hours. Barnaby suggest that his power may have gotten stronger. They show a picture of Gregory to Mattia and he confirms its him who he saw in the laboratory, who stole the NEXT power amplifying drug. The group get excited they managed to identity the prep, but Ryan explains that Gregory is arrested and is in prison right now. Barnaby decides to trust Mattia. They report to the Major, wanting him to confirm if Gregory is still in prison, but he dismisses their claim, stating that there are no reports of prison breaks.
As they are unable to prove it, soon an order is given that all NEXT would be evacuated in designated areas. All heroes, including Cat and Kid have their hero license temporary suspended. They still went after Gregory, but he manages to escape them.
Kid and cat visit Zamira, but before Cat can say anything, Zamira thanks Kid of bringing Cat, but states she will go with her to the evacuation facility. After spending some time with Kid, Cat should have realized herself that Zamira is right and her ranking won't go up as she stays in Kid's shadow. At this rate, Cat will remain a supporting hero. She can be a hero in any city and after they go to the evacuation facility, they will discuss her future. Cat states that Zamira never understands her. As she leaves, she tells Zamira that she and Kid are buddies, and its not like Zamira and Pamela. As Kid and Cat leaves, Kid knows that Cat wanted to tell Zamira that she can make it as a superhero even without Zamira's help. She wants to help her mother understand it too, but at the moment they can't work as heroes.
Little before the evacuation, the heroes receive a call from Agnes. Soon prisoners from Abbas Prison become X and break out. Agnes gives the heroes their suits, but explains that if they act on their own, their hero license will be terminated. Without a second thoughts, the heroes dress up and head out to help the people and capture the X.
While helping people and stopping X, L. L. Audun shows up and easily defeats Fire Emblem and Sky High. Cat and Kid go to check on them and also end up fighting Audun, but also end up defeated. Audun goes to defeat other heroes and eventually faces Tiger and Barnaby. Cat and Kid wake up, but as there are too many people needing help, they decide to keep helping people, leaving Audun to Tiger and Barnaby. After Audun, Gregory and Sigourney are stopped, Kid plans on inviting her parents to meet Cat and suggest that they invited Cat's mother as well.

Zamira Tchaikoskaya[]
Zamira Tchaikokaya is Lara's Mother. She is fairly hard on Lara due to past events. Prior to being forced out, Zamira was a pro tennis player, winning multiple trophies with her partner, Pamela Dawson. But Pamela Dawson retired from tennis and badmouthed Zamira in her autobiography.
Pao-Lin Huang/Dragon Kid[]
Pao-Lin and Lara are partners who seem to have a good relationship.
Powers and Abilities[]
Water Manipulation[]
Lara's NEXT Power allows her to manipulate water, she can also create it since she doesn't shoot the water from her body to use her power. The power level of her hydrokinesis depends on her emotions, meaning that she can’t use her powers properly if it’s unstable (and also due for her inexperience), though she eventually grows out of it as the series goes on.
Her hydrokinetic powers can be served as a conductor for Dragon Kid's electrical abilities and she's capable of conjuring blasts as powerful as fire hoses. Sometimes she dubs her attacks, such as “Magical Splash!” and “Sparkle! Magical Water!”

HeroTV Communicator[]
Like all the Hero TV heroes, Lara wears a simple "communicator" wristband which Agnes can use to contact her, usually to inform her of a crime being committed. The other heroes can also use this communicator to call her. Lara's communicator is white with pink bands around the edges.

- Lara's character is highly based on magical girl anime, representing a Japanese take on superheroes. Like many magical girls, she a is very cute and pure-hearted girl trying to be a warrior of justice and love.
