The news reports about four superheroes, who where attacked last night and are in serious condition. While training and hearing the news, the rest of the superheroes wonder how many where the attackers. Rock Bison asks the newcomers how are they and if they have anything they need to ask him, but Mr. Black states he doesn't need any help. Magical Cat however, has a question and asks everyone how they became a superhero. As that brings out lots of memories, Rock Bison states they should start telling their stories one by one. Mr. Black however, interrupts them, stating he heard that Barnaby became a superhero to get revenge on the person who killed his parents. But now wonders why Barnaby still works as a superhero. Golden Ryan then steps ahead, stating it doesn't matter why they started, but the present matters. Annoyed, Mr. Black explains that he became a superhero to save people and wanted to point out they are not the same. Ryan states that's a noble cause, but Barnaby is much better than him and he has no right to pick a fight with him. Annoyed, Mr. Black leaves.
As he walks away, Mr. Black recalls his time being Hello Goodbye in his hometown and how fellow superheroes supported him to aim higher as he is better than them. Tiger asks Agnes about Mr. Black and she tells him his backstory of how he was a superhero in his hometown. Tiger then asks about Thomas and Agnes explains he was a top student at the superhero academy and got hired without taking the hiring exam. Barnaby states he heard a lot about Thomas from teacher, as Barnaby used to set a lot of records there, which Thomas later broke. Tiger then guesses that Mr. Black is under a lot of pressure having such partner, and wishes to help him, but Mr. Black isn't interested in an advice.
Yuri calls Agnes, requesting deployment. Agnes then informs the superheroes of an arson in East Bronze, started by a man under the influence of the drug Max Happy. All the superheroes head out, but Mr. Black bracelet didn't work and he didn't hear about the case. Mr. Black explains the situation and that his alarm didn't ring, but they tell him its his fault as he needs to check his PDA. The Jungle CEO tells him that he is the first superhero to not show up for work and as he will be remembered now, he can quit. As he has the lowest score, they decide to make him do more support work. Mr. Black gets angry and yells at the CEO, asking what's the point in being a superhero in Stern Bild, as they chase merchandise and rating profits, instead of defeating villains and saving people. As he leaves with Thomas, he asks him why he became a hero and Thomas states he just felt like it. That angers Mr. Black even more, having to support such person and also not liking his new name they gave him. Getting home, Thomas recalls the question as why he became a hero and remembers his past, causing him to tear up.
The superheroes are urgently called and Anges explains that Veron Urbano is the one manufacturing and distributing Max Happy, which has been flooding the streets lately. Those using the drug may die or experience hallucinations, causing them to commit mass shootings or set fires. Yuri explains the police tried raiding him and confiscate his equipment, but it disappears each time they raid him. Yuri asks Origami Cyclone to transform into Julio Zanini, Veron's right hand man, who is currently in police custody. They initially wanted Thomas to move the equipment with his powers, but he can only move what he can lift with his own hand and the equipment is several tons heavy. All the heroes find the mission risky, but Mr. Black gets excited, thinking that Origami is lucky and wondering how Hero TV handles the situation. Agnes explains they record it and air it after the incident is resolved.
The superheroes take position around the hideout. Disguised, Origami manages to infiltrate it easily. Wanting to go ahead of Thomas, Mr. Black ends up causing noise and Veron notices him, ordering his men to shoot. Seeing that Julio isn't shooting, makes him realize Julio isn't his man and Origami ends up revealing himself. The heroes engage Veron's men and start taking them one by one, while Veron starts touching and teleporting away his equipment. They surround Veron, but he acts dumb, stating he only opened fire to defend themselves against an intruder. The heroes state he is manufacturing Max Happy, but Veron states they have no proof. Barnaby steps ahead, and explains that Veron's power isn't' making objects disappearing, but shrinking them and points at the equipment. Veron wonders how he knew, and Barnaby states the Hundred Power boosts his eyesight. After Veron's arrest, Rock Bison asks Mr. Black if he made noise on purpose to blow Origami's cover and take the spotlight. Mr. Black denies it, but states he wanted to stand more than Thomas. Tiger steps up, stating that it doesn't matter who makes the arrest, and when someone is in danger, all that matters is the person to be saved. Mr. Black then apologizes for his actions and personally to Origami.
Yuri speaks with Barnaby and Tiger, asking them what they think of Mr. Black. Tiger isn't sure, but states he feels that he is changing and its easier to keep on going when you are not alone. Yuri asks them why they keep working as heroes. Tiger used to be able to activate his power for five minutes, but now it only lasts one minute. Tiger states he felt he can still do it and decided to continue going for as long as he can. Yuri then wonders why Barnaby continue as he had found his target of revenge. Before he answers, Tiger decides to leave the room. Barnaby explains that he can't let go of his hatred for Maverick and the pain in his heart is still there, however, as he spends more time with Tiger and the rest, Barnaby started to change and smiles more than before. If he saves more people, maybe one day he may feel his life wasn't so bad.
Elsewhere, the two men in white, had defeated more heroes and are revealed to be members of Ouroboros.
