Thomas is grateful that Black reunited him with his sister, but is also worried what their company Jungle, will do with Black when Thomas leaves, since they got hired as buddies. Black states he won't be fired and that he will become a big hero, and encourages Thomas to to. However, as Thomas leaves, Black is frustrated that this is happening as they just taking off.
Gregory causes an X incident in Area D. Tiger calls Kaede and his mother to see if they are okay, but Kaede lies that they are both fine, since Anju got injured. Kaede worries about Tiger since she heard heroes are suspended, but he tells her he will be fine.
Having more free time now, Barnaby invites Tiger to dinner, however they couldn't get in the restaurant as the customers are afraid of NEXTs and the restaurant no longer allow NEXTs to enter. The two decide to go home, but they meet an old man who offers them info on who is behind the Fortress Tower attack in exchange for some money. Tiger and Barnaby initially don't believe but end up paying him. The man then explains he saw a crazy guy with a pompadour that caused the NEXT to turn into X and go wild.
Tiger and Barnaby tell the other heroes that a NEXT is turning people in X. Hearing that Fire Emblem recalls that Ryan had similar incident. Ryan shares that guy that caused his powers to go on a rampage was also one with crazy pompadour and his name is Gregory Sunshine. He adds that by hugging you, he causes the NEXT power to go crazy, however the effects wear off after few hours. Barnaby suggest that his power may have gotten stronger. They show a picture of Gregory to Mattia and he confirms its him who he saw in the laboratory, who stole the NEXT power amplifying drug. The group get excited they managed to identity the prep, but Ryan explains that Gregory is arrested and is in prison right now. Barnaby decides to trust Mattia. They report to the Major, wanting him to confirm if Gregory is still in prison, but he dismisses their claim, stating that there are no reports of prison breaks.
The heroes decide to find proof that Gregory is outside and then the Major won't be able to ignore them. They wonder about Thomas, but Black states he isn't well and wants to let him rest. Tiger suggest the same to Barnaby, who refuses. As they argue for the moment, the others hear about Barnaby's leg, and he ends up explaining that he injured it. Hearing that, the heroes then decide to leave Barnaby out so that he can rest. Ryan explains that Gregory loves booze, so they should start looking for him at places that sells it. As that is too many places, Fire Emblem suggest that they should look at the ones that were close to the X incidents. While they look for him, Sigourney informs Gregory that the heroes are looking for him, which makes him panic, but she tells him to calm down as she will relocate him.
Mattia calls Barnaby and wants to meet him. When they meet, he shows him a picture of a man that looks like Gregory and explains he is the man he saw in the lab and not Gregory. After saying it was Gregory, Mattia went to the police and they showed him list of people from who he identified the new man. Tiger and Barnaby then decide they should stop the search, but Tiger's phone then rings and Cat tells him that they found where Gregory is as the man who delivers him booze recognized his picture.
The heroes head right away for the address where Gregory is. They enter his apartment, but they see he isn't there. However, they notice that his food is fresh and he knew they were coming and managed to escape before they came. Knowing this, the heroes realize they have a rat, who must be Mattia. Meanwhile, Gregory who had barely escaped the heroes, thanks Mattia for the warning.
