Richard Max (リチャード・マークス, Richādo Mākusu) is a boxer and a victim of Mark Schneider's illegal business practices.

Richard has the ability to project his voice at unbelievably high volume and force. His screams are capable of destroying buildings, shattering glass and incapacitating opponents. His screams are also able to deflect most attacks and repel larger opponents like Rock Bison whilst charging.
As a professional boxer he is adept at hand to hand combat. He is physically conditioned to withstand attacks to his body, seen when Origami Cyclone's shuriken could not even pierce his skin.
Each of the antagonists of The Rising has a communicator which Andrew uses to contact them throughout the movie. Richard's is worn on his left wrist.
