Mario: All the hero fans, the citizens of Sternbild! We have finally arrived at this special moment, HeroTV’s grand finale! I wonder which hero will receive the award, King of Hero, after a rigorous year of working. Golden Ryan will unfortunately not be joining us because of his transfer in the middle of the season, so please be understanding.

(crowd boos)

Mario: Please don’t be mad. Not that this is a substitute for him, but we have a special event planned, so please look forward to it!

Kotetsu: What!? They are going to be handing out awards on top of the King of Hero?

Karina: Yeah. Apparently that’s what the special event for only this season is.

Kotetsu: Seriously!? Hey Bunny, did you know this?

Barnaby: I did hear the rumors of it. Apparently our ex-CEO Mark Schneider is the one who suggested it, something about how the idea stuck around and whatnot.

Kotetsu: Huh…hm. Sounds like something that man with those tiny glasses would think up.

Antonio: So, what type of awards are going to be handed out?

Barnaby: I’m not aware of any detailed information to that extent-

Keith: It doesn’t matter, right? Regardless of what it’s about, to be celebrated should be more than enough. I’ll be happy no matter what award I receive.

Pao-Lin: I agree. Events like this are exciting!

Mario: Well then, let us begin the commendation!

(the cast is excited and murmuring to themselves)

Mario: I’d like to clarify before the event that Fire Emblem and Origami Cyclone will appear through a call because they are currently stuck in traffic. Let us continue to HeroTV’s special planned event. We will start off with the “Fair Play” Award!

Karina: Oh, so it’s that type of award show.

Kotetsu: If it’s the Fair Play Award then I think I won it.

Karina: You’re probably the least likely to have won it out of us all, Tiger.

Kotetsu: What do you mean?

Barnaby: Kotetsu-san pays an exuberant amount in damage fines.

Pao-Lin: That is true.

Keith: I guess that may be difficult to call fair.

Antonio: Stay strong, Kotetsu.

Kotetsu: Dah!

Mario: We will now announce the winner. The Fair Play Award goes to…Barnaby Brooks Jr.! Sky High, Blue Rose, Dragon Kid, Fire Emblem, and Origami Cyclone!

Kotetsu: There are 6 winners!?

Karina: That’s basically everyone!

Antonio: Wait, why am I not in the group!?

Mario: Now a word from Barnaby to represent the winners.

Barnaby: Ah, thank you. But why are these two excluded from the award? I understand my partner because of his damage fines but why Bison?

Mario: It seems Rock Bison-san was disqualified because he copied other heroes' catchphrases.

(distant memory, Antonio: My heart may be rock hard, but your crimes have been put completely on hold!)

Antonio: Gyaaaa! Why did I do that!

Kotetsu: Stay strong, Rock Bison.

Antonio: You!

Mario: Now a comment from Barnaby.

Barnaby: Thank you for the Fair Play Award. I vow that heroes will continue to uphold fair play with the new season as well.

Mario: Thank you very much. We shall continue to the next award, the Golden Award!

Antonio: Golden Award?

Mario: This award will be awarded to those who shined the most gold throughout the season!

Kotetsu: The most gold… What?

Pao-Lin: What are their evaluations for that award?

Karina: By chance, is this an award that was made specifically for Ryan?

Everyone: Huh?

Karina: Cause when you say, “golden”, the first thing that comes to mind is, “Ryan”.

Everyone: Oooh.

Barnaby: It is true that Schneider was the type of man who would make a cheap move if it meant that his company would benefit from it.

Antonio: So this is an award meant for Ryan to stand out. I see.

Pao-Lin: Seems like being an adult really is hard.

Kotetsu: But if Ryan isn’t here then who do they plan on picking?

Mario: Time for the announcement! The Golden Award goes to Barnaby Brooks Jr.! And Sky High!

Keith: I did it! And we did it! Right, Barnaby?

Barnaby: I, uh, yeah…?

Mario: As a representative of the winners, please have the stage Sky High.

Keith: The me today is the strongest and the fastest!!

Pao-Lin: You’re more excited than usual today Sky High!

Karina: How is he able to become that excited when that was an award meant to Ryan?

Kotetsu: (cackles) That’s just Sky High.

Antonio: I need to learn a thing or two from him about “enjoying the moment”.

Pao-Lin: Right. There may be many circumstances concerning these awards, but the winner will always be the person who is having a good time.

Barnaby: You’re correct. I too shall embrace the fact that I received the Golden Award.

Mario: Now a word from Sky High.

Keith: This is because of everyone’s support! Thank you and thank you again! So I can shine just as brightly for next season's Golden Award, Sky high- ha- haaaaigh.

Mario: Thank you very much. As a side note, we will not be having this award event next year.

Keith: Huh?

Mario: The next award is the May-Be-Fashionable Award!

Karina: May-Be-Fashionable Award?

Barnaby: Another weird one has come out.

Mario: Concerning this award, the heroes usually wear their hero suits so we cannot tell who is fashionable. So it will be awarded to the hero that seem fashionable based on their manner and speech.

Kotetsu: This sounds like a tedious award. There’s no way it’s me.

Antonio: I don’t have confidence in myself either. Who do you think will be the winner, Dragon Kid?

Pao-Lin: If I were to say, wouldn’t it be Barnaby?

Everyone: Ah! That’s true.

Barnaby: Me?

Karina: Yeah! You make appearances in many fashion magazines every month.

Antonio: He’s the fashion leader of the Hero group!

Barnaby: Please stop.

Keith: Congrats! Or I guess the better way of saying that is, congratulations.

Barnaby: (smiling) Please, they haven’t announced the winner yet.

Kotetsu: This’ll be your third award, Bunny!

Barnaby: Please, stop talking like I’ve already won it.

Mario: We will now announce the winner of the May-Be-Fashionable Award. The winner is-

Barnaby: Yes.

Mario: -Blue Rose and Fire Emblem!

Barnaby: What?

Karina: Me!?

Mario: Please come up to the stage Blue Rose.

Karina: Oh um, sorry Barnaby.

Barnaby: Huh? Why, why are you apologizing?

Karina: Just a moment ago you said, “yes” and it seemed like you were ready to accept the award so-

Barnaby: No no no, that’s because everyone was putting that expectation on me.

Kotetsu: Stay strong, Bunny.

Barnaby: Please wait a moment.

Keith: Don’t put yourself down.

Pao-Lin: Don’t worry about it!

Antonio: Wanna go drinking afterwards?

Barnaby: Why am I being consoled right now? It was you all who assumed on your own that I would win that award.

Everyone: Stay strong.

Barnaby: Yes but I-

Mario: Oh! It seems like we’ve been able to get Fire Emblem on a call!

Nathan: Hello~ Did you miss me? I missed you too~ I’m glad to be receiving the May-Be-Fashionable Award. I’ll carry the responsibility of being the most fashionable out of everyone in the hero group next season so please keep cheering me on~ And also, stay strong Handsome.

Barnaby: Why is it that I need to be consoled by even you!

Mario: Thank you very much. And now a comment from Blue Rose.

Karina: I’ll make next season be the best season by putting in the effort of being a good hero and being stylish. If you don’t cheer me on, I’ll freeze you all!

(Crowd cheers)

Mario: Listen to that crowd! Expected nothing less from the idol hero! I would like to move onto the next award now.

Pao-Lin: We’re still not done!

Karina: How many more are left?

Antonio: Before that, I just realized that the only people without an award are Kotetsu and I.

Kotetsu: Huh? Ah! Now that you mention it.

Antonio: I need to win the next award or people will associate me on the same low level as him.

Kotetsu: What? That’s my line.

Barnaby: Having another brainless argument.

Mario: Let us continue to the next award!

Kotetsu and Antonio: Okay!

Mario: And the award is the Uniqueness Award!

Kotetsu: Let’s go let’s go let’s go!! This is definitely me!!

Antonio: No, this is my award!

Karina: Just settle it by having the two of you be the winner.

Pao-Lin: I agree.

Keith: I don’t mind which of the two win, and I’m also fine with either of them winning!

Barnaby: So in the end we’re fine with either winning.

Mario: We will now announce the winner. The Uniqueness Award goes to Origami Cyclone! Dragon Kid!

Pao-Lin: Me!? Why me!?

Mario: It seems like Dragon Kid’s new technique and move set that saved Sternbild was a big contributor to this.

Kotetsu: I get it now. I acknowledge this choice.

Karina: Good job Dragon Kid!

Barnaby: Congratulations.

Pao-Lin: Ah, thank you.

Antonio: Hurry up and make your speech!

Keith: Do your best!

Pao-Lin: Okay.

Mario: Please give us your comment Dragon Kid.

Pao-Lin: Before that!

Mario: Hmm? It seems like Dragon Kid is writing something on their palm.

Keith: That’s right! Just keep doing that!!

Pao-Lin: (swallowing the symbol on their palm) I’m ready now!

Mario: If so, please give us your comment!

Pao-Lin: Even though I don’t really understand this Uniqueness Award, I’m genuinely happy to have been chosen for this! I’ll work hard during the next season for more entertaining interviews so please keep cheering me on! Sa!

Mario: And we even got their signature pose!! Thank you very much! And we finally got in contact with Origami Cyclone.

Ivan: Shyu shyu shyu! It is Origami Cyclone! It is extremely unfortunate that I was unable to make it to the ceremony, but I am grateful to be able to receive the Uniqueness Award. I will work diligently so I will receive the King of Heroes title next season.

Mario: Origami Cyclone? The King of Heroes announcement is after this event! You still have a chance!

Ivan: Huh? Uh, oh, um… well, shyu shyu shyu shyu shyu!!

Kotetsu: Wow, he panicked.

Karina: He said shyu shyu shyu too many times…

Everyone: Yeah.

Mario: Origami Cyclone? Origami Cyclone? Hello? Hel- Oh, it seems that the call has disconnected. Ah, well, let’s move on to the next award to regain the energy. There is only one more award left to announce!!

Kotetsu: Just one more…

Antonio: If neither of us get it here, then we are…

Mario: This time, before announcing the award, I’d like to announce the winner first.

Karina: People do that?

Barnaby: Regardless, let’s listen.

Mario: And the final winner is… Rock Bison! Congratulations!!

Antonio: Yes!! Sorry ‘bout that Kotetsu!

Kotetsu: I had a bad feeling about this…

Mario: Please come up to the stage Rock Bison!

Antonio: Yes yes. Everyone here in the stadium, thank you! And what award did I win?

Mario: I will now announce it. The award Rock Bison won is… the Good-Job Award!

(Crowd applauses)

Antonio: Huh? What did I do that was a good job?

Mario: Thank you very much!!

Antonio: Wait a moment, wait a moment. What about me was a “good job”? What am I being praised and awarded for?

Mario: Well, that’s um, good job!

Antonio: Okay but what was a good job!?

Pao-Lin: Maybe they didn’t have anything in particular to praise you for.

Barnaby: And thus the broad statement as a praise?

Mario: Please give us a comment!

Antonio: Hello! This is Rock Bison! I’m a bit agitated currently, but I’ll be working so hard next season that these emotions mean nothing so please keep cheering me on!!

(Crowd applauses)

Everyone: Congratulations.

Kotetsu: Really?

Antonio: Yeah! I’m relieved.

Karina: But it’s a bit sad that Tiger is the only one who didn’t receive an award.

Kotetsu: Can’t promise you guys that.

Karina: Huh?

Kotetsu: It suddenly came to me in the middle of the ceremony that maybe the reason why I haven’t received an award up until now is because I was chosen for the King of Heroes.

Everyone: Huh?

Kotetsu: What I’m saying is that the reason why I’m awardless now is so they can hype up the event. Hyping!

(Everyone sighs)

Kotetsu: Hey! Why are you all sighing?

Mario: Well then, let us finally move onto the King of Heroes announcement!!

(Everyone is excited)

Mario: Before that however, I’d like to announce that Wild Tiger has received the You-Are-A-Hero Award that is offered to Second League Heroes.

(Live Audience Applauds)

Kotetsu: Huh?

Karina: He announced that without a moment of hype, right?

Barnaby: If I didn’t mishear, it seems like Kotetsu-san was awarded the You-Are-A-Hero Award…

Kotetsu: Huh, wait- HUH!?

Keith: Good job Mr. Wild.

Pao-Lin: and Antonio: Congratulations.

Kotetsu: Wait wait wait wait a moment!! Even if I receive a You-Are-A-Hero Award…all I can respond with is, well I am.

Karina: Stop thinking too deeply about it! Since you finally won an award. Congrats!

Kotetsu: Stop it-

Keith: Congrats!

Kotetsu: Stop-

Pao-Lin: Congrats!

Antonio: Congrats!

Kotetsu: Stop!

Keith: Congrats!

Antonio: Congrats!

Kotetsu: Stop it! This is so embarrassing! Argh! I knew that the King of Heroes Award was close to impossible for me to get my hands on, but a You-Are-A-Hero Award? Plus this is a Second League Award!? I’m First League! First League!!

Barnaby: It’s better if you accept everything with gratitude and happiness. Congratulations, Old Man.

Kotetsu: (is silent, looks up at the ceiling, then looks back down) Fine. Thaaanks!!

(Everyone laughs)

Mario: After a long wait, the moment has finally come. We shall finally announce the King of Heroes!!

(Drum roll)
